EquiTransylvania 2027 Season: Tour Dates Now Open for Booking

Published by EquiTransylvania | Reading time: 3 minutes

We are delighted to announce that our 2027 season dates are now live and bookings are open.

After another fantastic 2026 season (still running by end of October) — with guests joining us from across Europe and beyond — we are looking ahead to 2027 with six departure dates for each tour, split across spring and autumn. As always, groups are kept small (2–6 riders), places are limited, and the early dates tend to fill first.

Spring or Autumn — Which Should You Choose?

Both seasons are wonderful, and the choice comes down to what kind of experience you are after.

**Spring (May–June)** brings wildflower meadows in full bloom, long days, and mild temperatures perfect for riding. The landscape is at its most colourful and lush, and the horses are fresh at the start of the season.

**Autumn (September–October)** offers the turning of the leaves, golden light, and a more atmospheric feel to the landscape. September in particular is one of our favourite months — warm enough to ride comfortably, cool enough to make the campfire evenings feel earned.

If you are unsure, write to us and we will help you choose based on your availability and what you are looking for.

Custom Dates

If none of the fixed departures work for your schedule, we arrange custom tours on demand — for groups who want to travel on specific dates or put together a private departure. Get in touch to discuss options.

Who Our Tours Are For

All EquiTransylvania tours are designed for intermediate to experienced riders. This is not a beginner-friendly operation — and we say that not to put people off, but to make sure every rider arrives ready to enjoy the experience fully.

To join any of our multi-day tours, you should:

- Be confident and comfortable at walk, trot, and canter

- Be able to handle a horse in a group situation

- Be physically fit and healthy — five-six hours in the saddle over varied terrain is a real physical challenge

- Be comfortable riding over different terrain conditions: open meadows, forest tracks, hills, and natural obstacles

If you are unsure whether your riding level is suitable, write to us before booking. We will ask you a few honest questions and give you an honest answer. We would rather help you find the right tour than have you arrive underprepared.

What's Included

All multi-day tours are fully all-inclusive:

- All accommodation (guesthouse and yurt nights)

- Full board — three meals a day plus trail snacks and water

- Your horse and all riding equipment

- English-speaking guide for the full tour

- Daily luggage transport by service car

- Some local wine and *pálinka*

You bring your own riding gear: boots, riding trousers, helmet if you have one (we provide them if not), layers, and a waterproof.

See You in Transylvania in 2027

We look forward to welcoming new and returning riders to Kiskede next year. If you have questions about which tour suits your experience level, what to expect, or anything else before you book — just ask.
